Open race night
If you love the thrill and adrenaline of karting and racing but don’t have enough people to do your own event, or just want to race karts regularly thenyou could take part in one of our adult open nights.
These are held on alternate Wednesday and Saturday nights
Wednesday Evening Open Race
On Wednesday evenints we hold Hull Karting 20 or Indy Grand Prix (depending on numbers) where each driver will take part in a 10-minute qualifier and have a place in one of the 20 lap finals.
There are medals for the top three places in each final.
The session cost £20 per person.
Saturday Evening Open Race
On Saturday evenings we hold an event with a different format each week.
The race formats we choose from include -
- Standard HK50 - 10 min Qualifier then gridded up for a 50 lap race
- Last one standing – 10 min qualifier then gridded up for a 50 lap race. After lap 35 the last place driver gets eliminated ever lap until only one driver remains
- Release the beast – 10 min qualifier then gridded up for a 50 lap race but on lap 50 the beast is let loose from the pits. Who ever they overtake is out regardless of position. Can you Survive the beast?
- HK40 Split Race – 10 min qualifier then gridded up for a 20 lap race. Then re-gridded for a 20 lap reverse grid race you get points for position you finish in each race and most points win.
This session costs £30pp.
We also run longer races on occasions on Saturday evenings including -
- HK100 – 10 min Qualifier then gridded up for a 100 lap race ( 2 hour single driver race) £50pp
- 200 Lap Team Endurance – 2 person team event 20 min qualifier then gridded up for a 180 lap race and drivers alternate ( 3 hour racing) £100 (£50pp)
All 14 to 17-year-olds must have a consent form completed and signed by their parent or guardian before racing.
