Motorsport safety
All motor sports, including karting, are, by their very nature, highly hazardous activities. Because of this we at Hull Karting take your safety very seriously.
As a part of our processes all participants must -
a consent form to say they understand the risks before they start the session.
Under 18's must have a consent form signed by a parent or guardian.
Participants must also undertake the health and safety briefing and induction, which includes the National Karting Association (NKA) briefing video, before taking part.
All participants are given clear instructions and coaching by our trained staff before taking part in any event.
We expect all drivers to comply with the centre’s health and safety, track and driving rules and regulations. Where drivers do not adhere to these instructions, and where they put themselves or others at risk, their session will be terminated. Any costs they have incurred will not be refunded.
We ensure that we operate to the highest standards possible and are therefore proud to be an authorised member of the National Karting Association (NKA) (Link opens in a new window). NKA is the national governing body for commercial karting in the UK.
Our facilities, track and staff are inspected annually to ensure that we comply with the NKA requirements.
The minimum age for our karting sessions is 8 years old (except grand prix and endurance races, which have a minimum age limit of 18). Irrespective of age, all drivers must be over 4’6″ tall.
